The Chalet le Capieu is a traditional alpine house converted into four spacious apartments.

With its four double bedrooms and four bathrooms, the 3 star rated Le Barn apartment is the ideal place for two families to share a mountain holiday, with a total capacity of twelve people.
The Nordic decor makes the apartment both comfortable and practical, and the communal area combines a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and cosy lounge, an ideal retreat for long winter evenings around the wood burner.
Two of the rooms have their own balcony to enjoy the view and a cup of coffee (Nespresso) before heading out on the slopes in the morning.
A large terrace allows you to have lunch outside, or enjoy an aperitif in the jacuzzi as the sun sets behind the mountains.

For ski enthusiasts, there is no closer to the slopes than Le Barn apartment on the Merdassier slopes in Manigod. From here you can take a shuttle bus or ski to La Clusaz. The Aravis ski pass will give you access to 220km of slopes and 95 lifts including the Grand Bornand resort, enough to keep you busy throughout your stay.
Merdassier is a family resort perfect for beginners as well as those ready to take on new challenges on more challenging slopes. You can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Non-skiers will not be left out: they can enjoy the show from the warmth of the jacuzzi, and if they wish, they can take advantage of La Clusaz's outdoor and indoor heated swimming pools, as well as its ice rink, cinema, sleigh rides and tobogganing.
In summer, you can admire the lush nature and the mountain slopes. Hikers and mountain bikers will find plenty to do on the various paths and tracks that criss-cross the region from the chalet, and adrenaline junkies can try their hand at paragliding, canyoning, climbing or rafting, just a few kilometres from Merdassier.
The via ferrata is a great experience for the whole family: from eight years old, your children can accompany you in this unique discovery of the region on the side of a cliff. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious barbecue on the terrace while counting the shooting stars above one of the most beautiful valleys in the French Alps.
A 30 minute drive away, the beautiful medieval town of Annecy will delight you for a day trip, with its cobbled streets, shops and cafes, and the spectacular shores of its lake hemmed with snow-capped peaks. It is the perfect place to try water sports or to soak up the sun on one of the many beaches on the lake.

WHY IS CHALET CAPIEU LE BARN SO SPECIAL?
Chalet Capieu is a unique and privileged location in the heart of the ski area of La Clusaz and Grand Bornand. Located at the Col de Merdassier, this chalet will allow you to put on your skis from the door step to ski along the 220km of slopes of the area. In summer, the playground around the property is huge, with hiking trails leading through the mountain pastures. The chalet itself is a friendly and comfortable haven, with stunning, panoramic views. Not to mention the hot tub on the terrace, ideal for enjoying the scenery in any season.

Please note that this property is part of a chalet with several apartments. We cannot guarantee total soundproofing. For this reason we ask all guests to respect the peace and quiet of everyone in the apartments by keeping the noise level down. The laundry room (with washing machine and dryer) is located on a different level from the apartment and is only accessible from outside.
